A student is responsible for completing the online Application for Graduation at least one term prior to the planned term of graduation. Students must complete the application for graduation via their My Trenholm portal. A 25.00 fee is required. There is an additional cost for Regalia. Students pursuing an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Applied Science, Certificate, or Short-term Certificate should follow the specific course requirements of their major. Students may receive a Short-term Certificate, Certificate, and degree in the same major.
Graduation is the completion of all degree requirements as indicated in the appropriate catalog year. Degrees and certificates are conferred at the end of each semester after all end-of-term processing is completed. Commencement is the formal ceremony celebrating the completion of a degree and is held once a year in May.
Trenholm State has partnered with Parchment to offer degree or certificate service to students right after graduation. Printed degrees or certificates will be mailed to the address on file within two to three weeks. Your digital degree or certificate will be sent to your college email address on file. Notification to claim your digital degree or certificate will be sent to your cellular number on file. Summer 2023 and Fall 2023 graduates and beyond can also request a duplicate copy of their degree or certificate by completing the Duplicate Certificate/Degree Request Form for a cost of 25.00. Students who graduated before Summer 2023 are not eligible for this service.
