The Student Success Center (SSC) at Trenholm State Community College serves as a comprehensive one-stop hub for academic, career, and personal support services designed to promote student success both inside and outside the classroom. The SSC provides a wide range of programs, services, and resources that support student growth, persistence, and achievement during their time at the College and beyond.
The Student Success Center staff consists of a Director, ADA Coordinator, Retention and Advising Specialist, Student Success Specialist, Tutors and Testing Coordinators. The Student Success Specialist works closely with students to connect them with internal and external resources that support academic achievement and personal well-being.
The center offers in-person tutoring services to assist students in strengthening their academic skills in subjects such as mathematics, English, science, psychology, history, and other academic disciplines. Tutoring is designed to provide students with additional academic support to enhance comprehension, improve study habits, and reinforce classroom learning.
The SSC also supports students through the Council Pantry, an initiative designed to help combat food insecurity among students on campus by providing access to essential food and personal items.
In addition, the Career Services Department operates within the Student Success Center and assists students with preparing for career success. Career Services offers support in areas such as resume development, interview preparation, dress-for-success guidance, and the development of partnerships with business and community organizations to connect students with career opportunities.
The Student Success Center works collaboratively with faculty and staff to increase awareness of student support services and strengthen academic success initiatives across campus and are committed to supporting students beyond the classroom and ensuring they are aware of the resources available to help them achieve their educational, professional, and personal goals.

The mission of the Student Success Center (SSC) is to provide a consolidated and integrated center that enhances the academic development of students and reinforces the student-centered learning environment at Trenholm State Community College. With an emphasis on academic readiness skills and best practices, the SSC is committed to promoting student persistence, retention, and graduation.
